As a kid, I dreamed of becoming Eliza Thornberry - someone who could speak for animals and protect the planet.
That calling never really left. It led me to study Environmental Science, immerse myself in the climate and conservation space, and start a career working with organisations making a real difference.
But the deeper I went into this world, the more misaligned I felt.

I was working with NGOs and purpose-led brands doing meaningful, important work, but the way they were told to show up online felt completely out of sync with who they were. It was loud, salesy, algorithm-obsessed… and it left no room for integrity. No space for intention.
At the same time, I was caught in my own cycle of burnout, constantly hustling, constantly online, and constantly disconnected from the very values that brought me into this work in the first place.
That’s when everything shifted. After living between South Africa and New Zealand, I settled in the English countryside with my partner and our three rescue dogs, Darwin, Luna, and Leny. That move gave me the space to slow down, reconnect with myself, and imagine a new way of working. That’s how The Ethical Marketing Studio was born.
